Willemijn has been playing the cello since she was six years old and even gives regular concerts with an orchestra.

Willemijn didn’t expect to end up in IT so soon. After graduating in International Business and Management, she started at health insurer VGZ, where she began with administrative work. From that position she moved on to a role within the Process Support team, where she took her first steps in IT and came into contact with SharePoint. There she became co-content administrator of the department website and took a SharePoint course to do so. After her time at VGZ she was looking for a new challenge and through her good friend Bart-Jan she ended up at I4-YOU. Since then, she has become a true SharePoint expert.
From idea to working solution
What gives her the most pleasure in her work is development. Building something that really works with a few lines of code remains a little bit of magic for her. She sees it as a puzzle in which all the pieces have to fall exactly into place. And when it is all right and the result stands, she is of course very happy. Her eagerness to learn and her reliability make her someone you can rely on, both in projects and in cooperation.
A world full of knowledge sharers
In the Microsoft world, she is struck by how many people put their free time into sharing knowledge. For example, MVPs who write blogs, speak at events and are active in communities. She herself chooses to fill her free time in a different way, but she appreciates that there are such inspired people. She likes that this way everyone gets the chance to learn from each other.
No egos, but together
About the team at I4-YOU, Willemijn is clear: it’s just really fun and sociable. Everyone is ready to help each other, no one feels too good for any task. It is a team without egos, with lots of fun, but also with a clear mentality: don’t bullshit but clean up. Here you do it together and that suits her perfectly. She is positively critical, always honest and sincere, and also very helpful. If you ask her anything, you can be sure it will be done right.
Why work somewhere else?
When asked why she works at I4-YOU, she replies with a wink that no one wants her anywhere else. But in reality, she enjoys going to work every day and comes home happy. For her, that’s reason enough not to look for anything else. In her words: this is just a great company, where I feel at home.
