Her warm personality makes her sweet and reliable, and her infectious laughter ensures that she always manages to put a smile on your face. Moreover, she has a good dose of humor, making the team laugh on a regular basis.”
Aivy absolutely loves tea leaves to make her own fresh tea and she collects fountain pens.
Her curiosity and confidence with which she takes on new challenges independently and learns quickly by doing.
Good company or a nice glass of whiskey (preferably a combination of both).
Before entering IT, Aivy worked in healthcare. But she soon realized that this was not the place she wanted to develop further in. Since she had always been interested in software and technology, she decided to study computer science, which was a hit. After college, she started her first job as an app developer. She liked the work, but after a while she missed the space to continue learning and started looking for something new. That’s where her career at I4-YOU began.
From the beginning, she noticed that her new role is exactly what she was looking for: challenge, variety and room to grow. Learning new things is what energizes Aivy. She is regularly given tasks she has never done before and she prefers to tackle them independently. Finding out, trying and testing things herself and when it all works, it makes her very proud. Especially when colleagues like Bart-Jan or Martin confirm that it works.
Getting further together
What strikes her in IT, and especially at I4-YOU, is that there is little hierarchy. Of course there are differences in experience and knowledge, but everyone learns from each other. That equality makes for a pleasant collaboration in which you feel free to ask questions or share ideas. Within the team there is a lot of mutual trust and space to do what suits you.
Aivy likes to work independently and knows when to focus. Sometimes she puts on her headphones to disconnect for a moment and get totally into the flow. At other times, she actively seeks cooperation in order to exchange ideas and learn new things. This mix of working on her own and sparring together fits perfectly with the open and learning-oriented atmosphere within the team.
Room for differences
What Aivy appreciates about the team is how well everyone complements each other. Everyone is different, and that is exactly what makes the cooperation so strong. There is a lot of laughter, everyone has self-mockery and no one gives a hard time about each other’s “crazy traits. On the contrary, it is seen as something positive. That atmosphere makes you feel at home very quickly.
The combination of varied work, the freedom to figure things out for yourself and a team where you can be yourself makes her feel right at home here. She is curious, involved and always willing to think along with colleagues. And although she sees herself as an introvert, she is always open to a good conversation.
