An intranet is more than a digital home page. It is the platform where employees come together, find information and stay informed about what is going on. But this is only possible if your message really arrives. And that is often the problem: you post a news item on SharePoint, but how can you be sure that your colleagues are reading it?
Fresh Intranet adds smart communication features to SharePoint, so you don’t have to hope your message is seen, but can be sure it is.
Microsoft Teams is one of the most widely used parts of Microsoft 365 at many organizations. Employees chat there, collaborate on documents and schedule their meetings. How nice would it be if they didn’t have to leave Teams to see intranet notifications and news as well?
That makes Fresh possible. As soon as you publish a message on the intranet, employees automatically get a notification in Teams. They immediately see that there is something new, without having to open Intranet first. In addition, the intranet can be fully integrated into Teams, so employees can view intranet pages and news simply in their Teams app.
Why convenient: you reach your colleagues where they already work, keeping news visible and employees don’t miss anything.
There are also still employees who rely on their mailbox to stay informed. Fresh therefore offers the option of choosing to share via Outlook when publishing a message. You don’t have to draft or cut and paste a separate mail. From the same intranet message, you send the content directly to your target audience’s mailbox.
Why convenient: you also reach employees who work primarily by e-mail. One message, multiple channels, without duplication.
Sometimes there is news that absolutely everyone needs to see; a glitch, a security incident or an important executive message. Fresh gives you several powerful options for that:
This is a full-screen notification that appears immediately on the screen as soon as an employee opens the intranet. They have to click away the notification before they can continue. This ensures that urgent information, such as an outage or safety alert, is not missed.
This is a prominent banner at the top of the intranet page. The banner remains visible for as long as you set it to, and thus moves with the employee as they use the intranet. Ideal for temporary updates, campaigns or a recurring reminder (for example, compliance training).
This is a smaller, more subtle notification that comes into view as a notification when an employee opens Intranet. It attracts attention but does not block the rest of the page. Perfect for messages that are important but don’t require complete blocking.
Why convenient: For each message, you can choose which form best suits the urgency. For example, a crisis notification gets maximum visibility with a blocking popup, while a banner or notification is ideal for information that needs to be seen but shouldn’t hold up employees.
In addition to single notifications, sometimes you want to communicate periodically. Fresh makes it easily possible to compose newsletters from articles that are already on the intranet are listed. You select which messages you want to and sends the newsletter directly to your target audience. In doing so, you can use fixed templates, a header and footer and sections to make the newsletter uncluttered. Moreover, you immediately measure the results: open–ratios, click behavior and unique readers.
Why convenient: you quickly create professional newsletters without a separate tool, and you have instant insight into what gets read and what doesn’t.
With Fresh create a message once on your intranet and then choose how to distribute it: automatically as a notification in Teams, as an e-mail via Outlook, with banners or even as a complete newsletter. That way you can be sure to reach everyone, on the pleak where your target audience is most.
